Roof Sealing

A protective roof finish considered only after surface and substrate assessment.

Kildare · Clear scope · No-obligation quote

The problem

A roof coating or seal is not a universal answer for every tile or every condition. Existing finishes may be worn, patchy or incompatible, while a recently cleaned surface may still need time and preparation before any treatment is considered. Suitability matters more than applying a product for appearance alone.

What's involved

  1. 01Checking tile condition, previous coatings and the readiness of the surface
  2. 02Defining the cleaning, preparation and drying requirements before treatment
  3. 03Agreeing the compatible finish and any colour decision as part of the quote
  4. 04Protecting adjoining elements and applying the agreed treatment where suitable
  5. 05Reviewing the finish and providing product-specific curing guidance

Plan the assessment

Useful photos begin with the property—not a stock image. For a more accurate first conversation about roof sealing, send these three details with your request.

  1. 01The affected area
  2. 02Access to the work
  3. 03What you want changed

FAQ

Does a roof always need cleaning before sealing?

The surface needs to be clean, sound and suitably prepared, but the exact preparation depends on its present condition and any previous coating. That is confirmed during assessment.

Is sealing suitable for every roof tile?

No. Material, porosity, condition and earlier treatments all affect compatibility. If sealing is not appropriate for the roof in front of us, it should not be included merely as an add-on.

Will sealing change the roof colour?

That depends on the treatment and the finish selected. Any intended colour or tonal change should be agreed from the available suitable options before work begins.

How long must the roof stay dry afterwards?

Curing requirements depend on the product, surface and weather conditions. The applicable guidance is confirmed for the proposed treatment rather than promised as one fixed time for every job.
